Trouble started brewing when, upon landing, he tried to take his luggage from an overhead bin, and in the process, he inadvertently irked a co-passenger. Jones decided to sternly caution the man after he bumped into him and allegedly grabbed his arm while another individual seemed to engage in vocal aggression.

Airport authorities were promptly notified and reached the plane, but the men left without pressing any charges, thus proceeding to baggage claim. It was in this area that one man physically confronted Jones, with the other participant from the initial in-flight altercation joining him. Jones managed to lift one of the men and drop him, while the other kept assaulting Jones from behind. Soon after, officers descended on the scene and brought the melee under control, with one of the men apparently getting the brunt of the brawl.
The surveillance video corroborating Jones’ claims of not instigating the brawl was a significant factor in no charges being filed against him. In a conversation with TMZ Hip Hop, Jones, a revered rapper and businessperson from Harlem, said, “I was minding my business and defended myself. They got what they were looking for.”
