G FREDO: More then a gangmember

Michael Brandao, better known as G Fredo, or Frizzblock Fredo, is an American rapper from Boston, Massachusetts. He is a member of music collective Headshot Mafia (HSM). G fredo is probably on of the most talented rappers ever featured in the Periodical. Few others can really enter in the conversation when talking about street credibility, not only talented but boldness is one of his major characteristics as he rehearsals crime scenes in his music videos

Other then crude and captivating lyrics he shows his versatility by walking us through his subconscious, detailing his childhood trauma and the pain him, and his fellow soldiers carry with them.

Pain doesn’t justify crime and thats well known but trying to empathize with G fredo is an act of solidarity we, as spectators can make to better undertsand the society we live in and the reasons why people we call “devils” commit the terrible acts they are later on known for


Michael Brandao, recently faced sentencing after being charged with RICO conspiracy and conspiracy to distribute controlled substances.


In June 2020, G Fredo was among 31 individuals apprehended and charged in federal court for their alleged involvement in RICO conspiracy and conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. The charges were serious, carrying the potential for severe penalties, including a lengthy prison sentence and substantial fines.


Two years later, in June 2022, G Fredo entered a guilty plea on both charges. Alongside Hamma Thang and 7981 Kal, he acknowledged his involvement in the criminal activities associated with the gang. This plea marked a significant turning point in the legal proceedings, as it paved the way for the sentencing phase.


On January 25, 2023, U.S. District Court Judge Leo T. Sorokin delivered G Fredo’s sentence at the John Joseph Moakley U.S. Courthouse. The court sentenced him to 108 months (nine years) in prison, taking into account 32 months of time already served. This outcome was a result of careful consideration of the severity of the crimes committed and G Fredo’s individual involvement.


In the aftermath of the sentencing, the Department of Justice issued a press release detailing G Fredo’s active and violent role within the NOB gang. The press release emphasized his responsibility for an attempted murder, which influenced the court’s decision during sentencing. According to court documents, G Fredo actively promoted and facilitated the criminal activities of the NOB gang. This involved publishing recordings and videos that glorified violence, bragging about his personal involvement in gang-related violence, threatening rival gangs, and intimidating witnesses.
